Exchange providers do charge a commission, which is usually added to your purchase or hidden within the exchange rate. These fees are usually under $1.00USD but higher fees may emerge when the Blockchain network is congested.

For the lowest fees, check out Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV and Litecoin as, on average, they have the lowest transaction fees compared to Bitcoin, Ethereum and USD Tether.
