How do I get started with Cryptocurrency?
Are you new to Cryptocurrency? No worries, Joe has you covered with our easy-to-use step-by-step guide to help you get started today! These steps will be the same regardless of the cryptocurrency you choose.
Step 1: Purchase some cryptocurrency from an Exchange
The fees for purchasing cryptocurrencies vary depending on which Exchange you choose, although they are usually low at around 4%. We recommend purchasing cryptocurrency via a debit card as the transaction will be in instant.
Step 2: Transfer to your Personal Wallet
- Click here to visit CryptoVantage for a list of recommended exchanges.
- Choose an exchange to suit your profile and open an account. Your driver’s license or other ID may be required. Remember to write down and keep safe your unique 12-phrase security feature when prompted. This is important in case you ever lose your mobile device.
- Now transfer your cryptocurrency from your Exchange to your new Digital Wallet. Do this by selecting 'Withdraw' or 'Send' from your Exchange account and then pasting or scanning your Digital Wallet's address. From here, just press 'Receive' in your digital wallet and you are done.
Note: For fast and guaranteed transfers of Ethereum and Litecoin, we recommend jiggle.app Digital Wallet.
Step 3: Transfer to Joe
- Sign in to your Joe account. In your profile, you will find the 'Deposit' option, click on it.
- The Deposit menu will appear. From here, just choose the cryptocurrency you purchased in Step 1. You'll have a cryptocurrency address and a QR code generated for you. Always ensure that you accurately copy the address exactly as it's shown.
- Open your Digital Wallet and click 'Send'.
- Paste the address you copied, or simply scan the QR code.
- Choose the amount you want to transfer and click 'Send'.
- When the confirmation screen appears, review the address and make sure it is exactly the same as what is shown on the cashier page, then click 'Send'. You are done.
- Within just 60 seconds, your funds will show up in your Joe balance.
Note: Before making a new cryptocurrency deposit, ensure that a new wallet address is generated prior to completing your deposit.
There are very small fees for the service of transferring funds between cryptocurrency accounts which will automatically be deducted from your exchange and wallet balances. These fees are minimal and usually less than a single dollar.
Important
- All deposits must be wagered completely before any winnings can be withdrawn. By not meeting this requirement, your crypto withdrawal is subject to a 10% deduction or cancellation at the discretion of our Withdrawals Team.
- Litecoin was designed for faster transaction times compared to any other cryptocurrency.
- Please note that Ethereum (ETH) is only accepted on ERC-20 Network. Sending other cryptocurrencies to this address will result in loss of funds.
- When transferring Cryptocurrency between accounts, Joe Fortune, marginal fees may be deducted from your balance by the wallet provider. These fees are normally under $1.00USD.
- When making a Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, USD Tether or Litecoin deposit, funds will be posted to your account after a single confirmation on the Blockchain, which can take on average, approximately 15 minutes. If there is a heavier than normal volume of transactions on the network, posting deposits may take a little longer except for Litecoin. This cryptocurrency’s transaction confirms transfers up to 4 times faster than Bitcoin.
- Please ensure you are ONLY sending Tether (USDT ERC-20) to the wallet address provided on the cashier page for USD Tether deposits. Sending Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Bitcoin SV (BSV), Ethereum (ETH) or Litecoin (LTC) to that address will result in a loss of funds.
- If you’re using these steps for Litecoin transfer, ensure you’re using the correct wallets, exchanges and addresses.
- USD Tether (USDT) and Ethereum (ETH) are ONLY accepted on the Main Ethereum network; sending funds to any other networks, such as Base Network, Polygon Network, Arbitrum Network, Binance Smart Chain (BSC) Network or Optimism (OP) Network, will result in irreversible loss of funds.
